Invitation of Research Papers for Devabhūmisaurabham (देवभूमि-सौरभम्)


Shri Raghunath Kirti Campus, Devaprayag, Uttarakhand, under the Ministry of HRD, Government of India, is founded recently on 16th June, 2016 as the 13th constituent Campus of Central Sanskrit University (formerly Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, Deemed to be University). This campus is planning to publish an annual research journal of International repute on Sanskrit as well as Indological studies.The journal is significantly named as 'Devabhūmisaurabham' (देवभूमि-सौरभम्) because, Uttarakhanda is popularly known as Devabhumi (the divine land) and the Journal will help in spreading its fragrance all over the world. This state of Devabhumi is adorned with one of the famous Jyotirmathas (Shribadrikashrama) alongwith one of the twelve jyotirlingas (Shrikedarnatha). The province has the credit of being the sources of two vedic as well mythological rivers Ganga and Yamuna. The campus is named after the famous ancient deity Shri Raghunathaji shrined in the ancient Raghunatha temple constructed in the Katyuri style of Katyuri dynasty of the mountains on the holy confluence of two important mythological rivers, namely, Bhagirathi and Alakananda from where exactly the river Ganga is originated.

In addition to standard research papers of eminent scholars from all over the world in English, Hindi and Sanskrit Languages, the proposed International Research Journal Devabhūmisaurabham will also contain regular sections on short communications like obituary etc., critical editions of short but rare original Sanskrit texts and Book- reviews concerning any field of Indology. The papers are preferably accepted in soft forms (normal and PDF files) with fonts used by Email (srkc.pub@csu.co.in) or in CD with a hard copy. For Devanagari script APS Priyanka Roman, Kruti Dev 10, Walkman Chanakya 905, Mangal or any Unicode fonts and for Roman script Times New Roman with diacritical marks in TMS Nagari, Indo Times Roman and Times_CSX fonts should be used.

Since you are a distinguished scholar of your subject we herewith welcome your valuable contributions in either of the forms stated above. The contributions must give an evidence of research by discovery of new facts or by that of new interpretation or relationship of known facts and they should be completely ready for the press with an abstract of maximum 300 words. The computerized research papers and Book-Reviews should strictly follow the press-norms and the standard system of presentation and transliteration. The titles of books and journals as well as important Sanskrit or non-English words or quotations written in Roman script should be in italic and properly marked with diacritical Signs. Titles, authors and places of publications or editions of books and journals referred to for the first time in the paper should be given in full and thereafter, their abbreviations should be used. The postal address of the author with phone No. and email ID should be given at the end of the paper.

The contributors will get 25 off-prints of their papers and one author-copy of the journal. They will be informed about the acceptance or non-acceptance of their papers after the final scrutiny by the Editorial Board.
